The Artist
Brittney Schulz
Brittney Schulz is an Idaho-based fine artist whose body of work is deeply rooted in nature and influenced by the world in which she lives. Her work and life are intimately connected, as her studio is nestled within her 1940s cedar-planed home, affectionately called the Cedar House. Her work is a direct reflection of her environment, enveloped by the warmth and history of the surrounding nature.

On Inspiration
Natural influence has greatly informed Brittney’s work, creating pieces that not only express her vision but also interact with the spaces they inhabit. Her art is a dialogue between materials, process, and the people who encounter it. It is a conversation between the inner world and the space it inhabits, an exploration of beauty, imperfection, and the passage of time. Every piece is imbued with a sense of longing — a desire to connect, to evoke emotion, and to share a piece of herself with her audience. Each piece becomes an invitation to a conversation, one that is both intimate and evolving.

On Creation
Throughout her life, Brittney has always been drawn to the beauty of creation, but it wasn’t until she found her way back to painting after teaching for several years that she truly understood what it meant to pour her soul into something tangible. Her work is a direct reflection of her identity, of the quiet intimacy between the spaces we inhabit and the memories we create within them. It is a reflection of a life built on love, passion, and the delicate balance between the past and present. It is in her home, in the company of her family, where she finds the time and the peace to breathe life into her work.

On Connection
The body of work is about more than just visual beauty; it’s about connection. Whether through the tactile textures or the movement within each painting, the viewer is meant to feel something personal. It’s in these raw, imperfect moments where the creative voice lives. Every mark is an offering — an expression of gratitude for the opportunity to share this work with the world.
This work is a living, breathing extension of the artist’s heart and soul. It is a great joy to share this journey with you, and to offer this work as a gift to your home — a reflection of beauty, love, and the quiet moments that make life so meaningful.
